Overall, the Verissimo has a three part process: prepare machine, rinse machine, make coffee.
Prepare Machine
1. Check water in back of machine. Angle in and out and fill with tap water.
2. Get rid of last person's used cartridge. To do this, lift the silver lever up and you will hear a kerplunk as the capsule falls to the discharge chamber. Push the lever down so that it is in place. If you do not hear the sound or if it is muffled, you need to pull out the silver tray and the entire lower front of the machine will pull out. Empty used capsules in garbage. The discharge chamber needs to be emptied every 6 cups or so.
Rinse Machine
1. In order to prevent grime in your coffee, you need to rinse with each cup of coffee.
2. Put coffee cup on silver tray on lower front.
3. Turn machine on using small power button on top of machine to right of silver lever.
4. Lights will blink. When the lights stop blinking, press first button on middle front of machine.
5. The machine will emit a small bit of clear liquid to cup. Discard in sink.
Make Coffee

2. If bowl empty, capsules found in cupboard shelves above pullout shelves as you enter house
3. Lift silver lever on top of machine and about midway down you will see a capsule shaped opening. Turn capsule sideways and drop in. Pull lever down.
4. For almost all mugs that are not brown use the Middle button on the front of machine. The small brown mugs that match the dinnerware, use the lowest button.
Please note, if your capsule has a metal tab ON THE BOTTOM ONLY, please remove it. DO NOT OPEN CAPSULES OTHERWISE.
